How long does it take to get set up?
Most schools are live in the same week. There is a short virtual onboarding session to configure your leave types and approval rules, then staff can be invited straight away.
Do we have to change our approval process?
No. You decide who approves what. If you would rather trusted relief staff be confirmed instantly, Priority Flow does that. If you want every placement approved by an administrator, it works that way too.
What is Priority Flow?
Priority Flow lets you nominate the relief staff you trust most. When one of them accepts a suitable job it is confirmed immediately, with no approval step, which is what fills a class in minutes rather than by the first bell. Everyone else still goes through your normal approval, so you decide where the line sits.
What about relief teachers without a school email address?
They can be invited with a unique welcome link. Anyone who does have a school work email can self-register into your pool without an invitation.
Does Relay replace our HR, payroll or timetabling system?
No. Relay handles the coordination, meaning matching, assignment, handover of materials, notification and record keeping. It runs alongside the systems you already have.
Will Relay work with the systems we already have?
Relay runs alongside them. There is nothing for your IT team to install and no change to your HR, payroll or timetabling setup, because Relay handles the coordination those systems do not do. Staff sign in through the browser on any device.
What happens if nobody accepts a job?
You see it immediately rather than at 8:30am. The job can be opened to a wider group automatically, and an administrator can assign someone directly at any point.
