How does Relay match relief teachers to jobs?
Relay matches relief teachers based on their experience, preferences, preferred teaching days and year levels. When a job is created, matched teachers are notified automatically. Additional approval steps can be issued.
Is Relay available across Australia?
Yes. Relay is designed for Australian schools and all data is stored in compliance with the privacy principles of Australia. Schools in any state or territory can use the platform.
How quickly can a school get started?
Often, schools can self-onboard and deploy immediately. We prefer to have a quick virtual onboarding and showcase session to get started.
Do relief teachers need to be invited to join?
Relief teachers with a school work email can self-register and join the school's relief pool. Alternatively, relief staffing can be invited through a unique welcome link if they don't have a work email address.
What is Priority Flow?
Priority Flow allows schools to designate trusted relief teachers. When a Priority relief teacher applies for a job, they skip approval and are assigned the job — speeding up placement significantly.
Does Relay replace our existing HR or payroll systems?
No. Relay manages the coordination of relief teacher placement — matching, assignment, and communication. It works alongside existing HR, payroll, and timetabling systems.
Does Relay integrate with our current systems?
Yes, Relay is interoperable. It's been built to reduce duplicate work, streamline workflow processes, and enhance existing systems.
